This page describes cookies and similar storage we use. Essential cookies keep the site working; optional analytics cookies are used only if you accept them in our cookie banner.

Overview

BeerTour.ist is operated from the European Union. We minimise tracking and do not sell your data. You can change analytics preferences at any time via Cookie settings in the footer.

Strictly necessary

beer_session — HTTP-only session cookie when you sign in (about 30 days). beer_age_confirmed — remembers that you declared legal drinking age on the age gate (up to 365 days, set only if you choose Yes). Turnstile — Cloudflare may set short-lived cookies when you use sign-in or forms protected against bots.

Web app (PWA) and offline cache

BeerTour.ist is a Progressive Web App (web-only — no native app from an app store). If you install it or revisit the site, our service worker may store static files (scripts, styles, icons) on your device so pages load faster and basic shell content can work offline. This cache is strictly necessary to run the installed web app and is not used for advertising. It does not require analytics consent. Entity listings and live data still need a network connection. You can remove the installed app or clear site data in your browser settings.

Preferences

beer_theme, beer_primary_colour, beer_neutral_palette — remember your theme choices. beer_language — remembers your selected locale. beer_pwa_install_dismissed — remembers if you dismissed the optional install prompt (up to 7 days; we may remind you again after that). These improve your experience and are not used for advertising profiles.

Analytics (optional)

beer_analytics_consent — stores whether you accepted or rejected optional Google Analytics (up to 365 days). Google Analytics (GA4) loads only if you accept analytics and we have configured a measurement ID. You can reject analytics and still use the site.

Usage statistics we operate

We may record anonymous counts of certain actions (for example a sign-in button click or PWA install banner interactions) via our own API. These events do not include your account id, email, or free-text search queries. They are described in our Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookie-free real-user measurement (visits, page views, Core Web Vitals) from Cloudflare when enabled on our zone. Google Analytics — optional, only after consent. Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on forms. ImageKit — image delivery (see Privacy Policy for CDN processing).

Managing your choices

Use Cookie settings in the site footer to accept or reject optional analytics. You can also clear cookies in your browser; you may need to confirm your age again on the next visit.
