Lordelo is a city in the municipality of Paredes, in the district of Porto. It became a town in 1984 and a city in 2003.
Its best-known monument is the Torre dos Alcoforados, also called the Torre Alta or Torre dos Mouros, a fortified medieval manor tower near the River Ferreira. The municipality dates it to the first half of the 14th century, while other sources place its construction between the 14th and 15th centuries; despite the local name "Tower of the Moors", it was built long after Islamic rule. Set on a granite outcrop above fertile farmland, it keeps its original structure, with a pointed-arch balcony opening and paired windows with stone window seats inside. It was classified as a Property of Public Interest in 1993 and is part of the Romanesque Route.
Along the river, the Parque do Rio Ferreira stretches between Lordelo and neighbouring Rebordosa, a riverside park for walks, sport and birdwatching, home to species such as robins, blackcaps, kestrels and little owls. The local calendar includes the feast of the patron saint, Salvador, in late July, the Festa da Senhora do Alívio in Vinhal two weeks after Easter, and the Festa de São Roque in Corregais on the second Sunday of June.
The craft beer scene in Lordelo is still waiting to be discovered. With Paredes and Porto close by, travellers can look around the wider area to see what is being poured nearby.
